Product Overview

The integrated data center cooling station is a core cooling source device in Silicon Labs’ intelligent data center infrastructure system. It highly integrates the compressor refrigeration cycle, pump circulation module, and intelligent control system into a single skid-mounted cooling source. The equipment is pre-installed and commissioned in the factory and can be connected to the system for operation upon arrival at the site, significantly reducing the footprint, construction period, and on-site construction workload of traditional cooling station server rooms.

The integrated cooling station uses compressors from well-known industry brands, boasting stable cooling output and excellent energy efficiency. Its built-in color human-machine interface and expert-level fault diagnosis system make the operation, maintenance, and management of the cooling source simple and intuitive. Combined with Silicon Labs CDUs, liquid-cooled cabinets, and dry cooling towers, it can construct a dual-mode cooling source system of “mechanical refrigeration + natural cooling.” While ensuring cooling capacity during high-temperature seasons, it automatically switches to natural cooling mode during low-temperature seasons, achieving year-round energy savings and stable cooling supply.

01 Integrated and plug-and-play: The compressor unit, pump circulation module, pipeline valves and control system are highly integrated into the skid-mounted base. Pre-installation, pre-adjustment and testing are completed in the factory. On-site operation only requires connection to water, electricity and pipelines, eliminating the need for traditional chiller plant construction and greatly shortening the deployment cycle.

02 Brand-name compressor, high efficiency and reliability: Adopts compressors from well-known brands in the industry, which are highly efficient, low in noise and long in life; supports parallel operation of multiple units and N+1 redundancy configuration, and automatic switching in case of single unit failure to ensure uninterrupted cold source supply.

03 Color Human-Machine Interaction, Clear at a Glance: Equipped with a color touch screen human-machine interface, it displays system flowcharts, temperature and pressure, operating status and energy consumption data in real time, supports parameter setting and viewing of operating curves, and is intuitive to operate and convenient to manage.

04 Expert-level fault diagnosis and rapid location: The built-in expert-level fault diagnosis system automatically identifies abnormal operating conditions of compressors, pump sets, pipelines and electrical components, and provides fault location and handling suggestions, significantly shortening troubleshooting and downtime.

05 Intelligent Management and Control, Unmanned Operation: Optional XINKE SMART intelligent management system developed by Silicon Labs, which realizes integrated management and control of liquid cooling, power and air conditioning, supports remote monitoring, energy consumption analysis, automatic adjustment and leakage early warning, and unmanned operation around the clock.

06 Dual-mode cooling source, energy saving and flexible: Combined operation with dry cooling tower/closed cooling tower: The compressor actively cools during the high-temperature season and switches to natural cooling mode during the low-temperature season. It automatically selects the optimal mode according to the working conditions, taking into account both extreme high temperature protection and year-round energy saving.

07 Modular expansion, on-demand capacity expansion: The cooling station module supports parallel expansion, and the cooling capacity can be smoothly expanded according to business growth; it is compatible with indoor skid-mounted and outdoor protective installation, and can be combined with liquid-cooled cabinets and computing containers to form a complete high-density computing power delivery unit.

Working principle and system positioning

The integrated cooling station serves as the centralized cold source for the liquid cooling system, handling the cooling and circulation of secondary-side cooling water. During high-temperature seasons, the compressor’s refrigeration cycle cools the secondary-side return water to the set temperature before sending it out to meet the server’s heat dissipation needs. During low-temperature seasons, the system switches to natural cooling mode, with direct heat dissipation from the dry cooling tower, and the compressor shuts down, significantly reducing energy consumption. The integrated pump circulation module simultaneously handles water circulation, pressure stabilization, and water replenishment functions, working in conjunction with the CDU heat exchanger to achieve primary/secondary-side isolation, ensuring the cleanliness and stability of the server-side coolant.
